Mary Moore

Recipient of the 2008 Valley International Foosball Association's Meritorious Service Award

Mary Moore, one of the most respected names in the foosball universe, was born on October 7, 1963 in Lexington, Kentucky, where she resides to this day. When she isn't at home with her family, she's living on the road in her Ford F-350 and her trailer, traveling across the United States promoting foosball tournaments from the West Coast to the East Coast and everywhere in-between.

Mary started playing foosball at the early age of ten. Not only did she view it as a fun way to pass the time, she savored beating the boys every chance she got. Even though Mary graduated high school in 1981 and went on to attend Embry Riddle University and the University of Kentucky immediately afterward, foosball was always a part of her life. Sometimes on her way to class, Mary would stop by the student lounge for a quick game of foosball, and end up missing the class altogether.

Before committing to IFP full time, Mary was a professional poker player for twenty years and a home health nurse for seven years. Running the IFP takes up most of Mary's time, although she does enjoy horse racing, beach volleyball, and poker. Kentucky State may be her favorite tournament, since she treasures catching up with the many wonderful families that attend, but every one of IFP's events hold a special place in her heart. Mary and her husband of 23 years Richard Moore have three children together: Jennifer, Michelle, and Ryan, and two grand babies: Leslie and Jacob.
